Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system starts damaging various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and brain.

This panel includes:

Antinuclear antibody (ANA): A positive ANA test indicates that your immune system has launched a misdirected attack on your own tissue. Elevated levels can be seen in patients with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
